Elementary and Middle Schools Registration in Champaign Public Schools

If you plan to enroll your child on Elementary and Middle Schools in Champaign, Illinois, you will be participating
of the School of Choice Process. That means that you, parent, will provide to
the School District a list of 5 schools of your preferences. The District will assign
you the school your child should be enrolled.

The sooner you register your child, the sooner you will
receive a notification from the District with the information about which school
you should register your child. Also, your child has a better chance to be placed
on your first school of choice. Do not wait until the last minute to decide.
You might be left with no options.

Another good thing to know, is that if the school have
available seats, the District will try to assign siblings to the same schools.

If you, international students, are planning to come to
town/country couple of days before school starts and missed the deadline to
register, we suggest you contact the Bilingual Coordinator from your School
District and ask for guidance.  They are
usually very helpful.

PS: Kindergarten Registration for 2017-2018 should be done
before the end of March or according to the school district calendar. Remember that the academic year runs from
August to May.
